It covers no individual company shares, shows no live signals, and gives no buy or sell recommendations.

Conditions, pattern labels and statistics shown here are mechanical, rule-based calculations on past price data. They describe what happened before; they do not predict what will happen.
Backtests are simulations. They ignore many real-world factors (taxes, liquidity, circuit limits, margin, position sizing, borrowing costs and your own behaviour) and use adjusted prices from free sources that can have gaps and bad prints. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Data and its limits

Old prices only: the daily prices are stored inside this file and end on (file built on ). The page always hides the most recent three months, in line with SEBI's January 2025 guidance that educational content should only use market prices at least three months old. Nothing is downloaded or refreshed.
The simulation is only ever invested or in cash. It does not short-sell, use leverage, derivatives or margin, and it covers no individual company shares.
The data comes from free public sources (such as Yahoo Finance and exchange files) and is delayed. It may be incomplete, late or wrong.
All data remains the property of its owners and is used here only to compute backtest results.
Always verify prices and facts with your broker or the official exchange before you act on anything.

How the test works

Every condition is read on a day's close and the simulated position changes at the next session's open, so there is no look-ahead. Brokerage/tax and slippage are charged on every simulated change. The optional "close if down / up by %" levels are checked inside each later bar (a gap through the level is valued at the open; if both are touched on the same bar, the down level is assumed first). The stay-invested benchmark is invested from the first open and pays the same costs.
